About Jane

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jane Ann Roundtree has always embraced a life of passion, dedication, and adventure. From a young age, she excelled in competitive swimming, beginning at just six years old and continuing through the age of eighteen. Her commitment to the sport led her to numerous national competitions, where she set multiple state records, showcasing her perseverance and talent in the water.

Her competitive spirit later found a new outlet in the world of Cutting Horses. Since the age of 48, Jane has been actively involved in the sport, achieving remarkable success, including the highlight of her equestrian career - qualifying for the prestigious World Finals in 2019.

Jane’s academic journey led her to graduate from San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, California, in 1982. She furthered her education at San Jose State University and Golden West Community College in Huntington Beach, California, setting the foundation for her professional career in accounting.

In June of 1993, Jane relocated to Anchorage, Alaska, where she began her accounting career at Johnson Nissan Dealership as an Accounts Payable Specialist in 1997. A year later, she moved to Huntington Beach, California, and worked as a staff accountant at Darrel Whitehead and Associates until 2005.

Her journey continued in Auburn, Washington, where she became a staff accountant at Williams+Callan, PLLC in Seattle. She remained there until 2010 before moving on to STS Remodeling Corporation, a medium-sized construction company, where she took on the role of Office Manager until 2015.

With years of experience under her belt, Jane took the leap to start her own bookkeeping business in 2015. Her career then led her to Poolville, Texas, where she worked as a bookkeeper for a private charter company for a year, followed by a position as a staff accountant at George, Morgan and Sneed, P.C. She later became the main bookkeeper for a retail trailer sales facility, further expanding her expertise in financial management.

Beyond her professional life, Jane is deeply passionate about animals. She and her husband, Duane, have spent the past three years managing a small 25-acre boarding facility, Airbnb, and Horse Motel. Together, they care for their beloved six dogs, one cat, and six horses, creating a fulfilling and rewarding life surrounded by animals.

Jane's philosophy is simple but profound - to live life to its fullest and to help others whenever possible. Whether in her career, her love for animals, or her dedication to equestrian sports, she brings passion and commitment to everything she does, making a lasting impact on those around her.
